It appears the wall in the picture is a Tuf-Barrier or Silent Protector Sound Wall. There are several options that I have seen that are similar. One that is very similar is made by Sound Fighter or LSE wall Systems but it can only span 6' centers... That makes the cost too expensive for a highway noise barrier. The Silent Protector and Tuf-Barrier walls can span 10' or more from post to post! From my research the Sound fighter or LSE wall has "sheetrock" as a noise barrier! Why would anyone use sheetrock as a barrier for an exterior sound wall? It appears that the Silent Protector or Tuf-Barrier wall is a much better system. The Tuf-Barrier and Silent Protector Sound Walls are a single rail that is fully enclosed with no extra components such as sheetrock or a cheap plastic clip to hold the sheetrock inside. Hands down the Silent Protector and Tuf-Barrier Sound Wall are a modern design with no parts that will crumble when they get wet like the Sound Fighter or LSE wall system. I will only specify the Sound Wall that is easy to install with a minimum of 10' center to center post spacing. This in itself will make the installation cost almost half of a Sound Fighter or LSE Wall. On another note the Tuf Barrier and Silent Protector Wall can be installed into the web of any beam or post from a w4 x 13 or larger. The sound fighter and lse walls have to have a custom made post using only a w4 beam that they make at their metal shop. From my research the w4 beam has a welded fin on the back referred to as a stiffener. All that seems to do is add more welds which means more time and money spent by a DOT to inspect all those welds. Why would anyone want to weld a post to make it stronger? It only makes sense to use a larger post if a higher wind load is required. I think the Silent Protector and Tuf-Barrier Sound Wall Systems are far superior design, asthetics and especially when it comes to the installation... We are happy we took the time to research the sound wall systems before we made a decision on which product to buy! The Silent Protector and the Tuf-Barrier are by far the best Sound Wall on the market today. We have some other projects that we would like to share with you and hope to have them posted soon!
chicken wire might work good for smaller sized animals but it will definitely not going to work against large animals like cow, deer etc. black vinyl fence
